So what made my final list of 90 books for 90 days of summer? I’ve hopefully got quite a variety here for you! You can find some great summer, beach, and vacation reads (such as Goldfish on Vacation and Mama, Is It Summer Yet?). I’ve got fun interactive books, like One is Not a Pair and Adèle & Simon. Need some help encouraging your kids to get creative? I’ve got you covered there– try Today, Ish, or Du Iz Tak?, among others. Some books on this list are perfect summer reads because they’re simply fun (and exceptionally fun to read aloud), a few are wonderful picture book biographies, and of course many are must-reads (in my opinion) that address important social-emotional concepts.
My hope is that you can use my list below (all links are Amazon Affiliate links– scroll all the way to the bottom to download and print a PDF of the list) to make wonderful memories reading with your little ones this summer. And remember, while my list contains solely picture books, even independent readers can benefit from having adults read pictures books out loud to them (read more about that here), or from reading picture books themselves! I included two versions of the printable list (turns out most of you like to find books by title, but enough prefer by author, so I made 2 different PDFs for all of you!).
If you choose to use my list and want to post about it on Instagram, feel free to tag me (@childrenslitlove) and use the hashtag #90booksfor90days. I’d love to see what you’re reading and what some of your favorite books from this list are!
